Your Guide : Daesha Lynn Collins
Daesha Lynn Collins has been a filmmaker and writer in Los Angeles for over fifteen years. She studied Script Analysis at the Stella Adler Academy and Script Anatomy under the tutelage of TV writer and author Hollie Overton. She's a script consultant and supervisor at Cinekat Filmworks in Los Angeles. Her first screenplay, The Turn, was a semi-finalist in the Black List x Women In Film Episodic Lab, a quarterfinalist in Big Break competition and a finalist in WeScreenplay lab.
As an independent filmmaker and writer, she has a particular love for comedy, horror, historical or magical realism, metaphysical and genre bending content.

Alchemy...
"A seemingly magical process of transformation, creation, or combination". Practiced for centuries, alchemy is an ancient art dating back to Pharaonic Egypt according to some accounts.
The very process of alchemy itself can be found within the wheel of the Hero's Journey, the esoteric teachings of Tarot, in science and nature found in the seasons and cycles of life itself. Obtaining a deeper understanding ofalchemy in storytelling, we can begin to break down the components of plot, character, and the overarching world in which the story takes form.
